Secretariat appointments

Jennifer Kirby has joined the Secretariat of the Court as Counsel following the departure of Spencer P. Boyer. Dyalá Jiménez Figueres, formerly Assistant Counsel within the Secretariat of the Court, has assumed responsibility for ADR and expertise.

Jennifer Kirby, who holds both UK and US citizenship, was educated in the United States. After receiving her first degree in history from Columbia College, she went on to study law at the University of Virginia School of Law. She was subsequently admitted as a member of the New York Bar and practised with a New York law firm, where she specialized in complex commercial litigation and international arbitration.

Dyalá Jiménez Figueres is a citizen of Costa Rica. After completing her undergraduate legal studies in her native country, Ms Jiménez Figueres became a member of the Costa Rican Bar and joined the office of the first vice-president of the Republic, where she promoted legislation and projects relating to alternative dispute resolution. She received a Master of Laws degree from Georgetown University, USA, and has since acquired practical experience of arbitration and mediation on both sides of the Atlantic.

Secretariat staff

ICC dispute resolution services are administered by the Secretariat of the ICC Court and the ADR/Expertise Secretariat.

The teams deal with the day-to-day management of arbitration cases, whilst other staff provide essential ancillary services.

Over 50 members of staff are employed in ICC's dispute resolution services, including some 30 lawyers of 20 different nationalities. Their combined professional and linguistic skills are a valuable asset to ICC's dispute resolution services.
